STORIA
Born in a family of shoemakers, Tonino Cannucci began his activity as a designer in 1982. With the realization of his first finished prototypes, he began to participate in national and international fairs and to create collections for Italian and foreign footwear manufacturers. This activity has grown and diversified over time, through the collaboration with national and international public and private bodies, responsible for the development of the footwear sector in the non-European countries. Meanwhile, on behalf of the same, Tonino Cannucci has dedicated himself to teaching specific design programs for operators of the sector all over the world.
His continuous research and update on applied technologies in several countries have enabled him to carry out new footwear projects with innovationg solutions. In all the stages of the prototype production and of the special finishing – realized in his private laboratory, he has always been supported by his father Armando, his relatives and an experienced high level team.
Over the years, collaborations with manufacturers and various organisations have extended to more than thirty countries around the world. Tonino Cannucci and his creations regularly appear in fashion magazines and newspapers. His collections are presented periodically in the two annual editions of the International Leather Fair Lineapelle in Milan and are always on view in the permanent exhibition of his private showroom in San Lorenzo in Campo. The seat of his activity as a designer and his laboratory are currently still based in San Lorenzo in Campo – Italy – inside his company Impuls.
